    Roman Štětina was born in Kadaň in 1986. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2015 after spending two years on the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main in the classes Judith Hopf and Douglas Gordon.

    Recent solo shows include: Instruction for Use od Jiří Kolář (with Miroslav Buriánek), Spike Island, Bristol; Shave and a haircut – two bits, Cardiff Contemporary, curated by Louise Hobson; The Fortress of Solitude from the holy wood of eternal noise (with Larisa Sitar), MNAC Bucharest, curated by Anca V. Mihulet.
